숭실대학교에서 철학을 전공한 후 메릴랜드미술대학에서 Photographic & Electronic Media 석사를
획득했다. 철학 전공과정에서 포스트모던-미학 과정을 파고든 것이 계기가 되어 미술작업을 계속하게 되었다.
‘보는’행위가 각각 개인들에게 어떻게 다르게 해석되며, 그 안에서 미적 가치는 어떻게 발생 되는가를 탐구하고 있다.
